1st Bourn's everyday adventures are only possible thanks to our adult volunteers, who support the Group in a wide range of roles from working directly with young people, to helping manage a Group, to being on the executive committee. We help volunteers get the most out of their experiences at Scouts by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.
We understand that parents have busy lives and our approach focuses on what you want to get out of volunteering with Scouts within the time you can offer. From helping at an occasional meeting to grilling sausages at a barbecue or building shelves, there are loads of opportunities to help that don't require an onerous commitment - although, if you'd like to get stuck in as a regular helper, we will be happy to provide full training and support.
If you're unsure about whether volunteering in Scouting is for you, find out more on the Scout Association website, or come along and give it a go!
